Zoom Day Camp
Five Hours of Chess
Campers will have a 55-minute class every afternoon for a week with International Chess Master Larry Evans or staff on the internet using Zoom. We will cover chess tactics and strategy by playing games together as a class as well as working through chess puzzles and lessons. This camp is for students that already know how to play chess and want to improve their skills.
Monday – Friday 4:30pm – 5:30pm
On December 28-30 we are holding camp at 10AM & 3PM instead.
Larry’s teaching technique, dubbed THE EVANS METHOD by the United States Chess Federation, is used in dozens of schools throughout San Diego. Featured on The Tonight Show and Inside Edition, The Evans Method makes chess fun for children of all ages and levels. His cumulative merit system rewards camper participation. Campers earn prizes at the end of each day and a trophy at the end of each week.
